We can learn alot from the beatitudes. Often we assume that these are reserved for heaven. For example, that in heaven, the pure in heart shall see God. Whereas that is correct, we miss a wonderful opportunity to foretaste this here on earth.
Collosians 2:1-17 chronicles how much of what we experience on earth, - our salvation, the circumcision, the observation of the law, in food, festivals and sabbaths - is only a foreshadow of whats to come.
Therefore, there are those whose purity of heart enables them to see what the Father is doing. Jesus said, I do only what I see my Father do. Purity comes through the refiners fire. Ps 12:6-8 reminds that God's word is most pure as silver refined seven times.
There is no shortcut to purity of heart but to those who stay in faith through the refiners fire, there becomes an increasing ability and opportunity to see what the Father is doing. The faith, trust and courage to align heart, thoughts, words and actions to what heaven is doing, ....that... brings heaven to earth. The kingdom of God is at hand and heaven is here.
Christian friends, we ought to take serious stalk of what is growing in our hearts. And may God help us steward our hearts diligently. In a generation that does not put much emphasis on the inner man, we need God's help to hold the line in whatever situation we are in, stay in faith, welcoming the refiners fire as an opportunity to grow in the purity of heart.
I'm an advocate for redemptive entrepreneurship and practice in the marketplace. Praying for a generation who will know how to facilitate and steward heaven's agenda for our industies.
Shalom😇
