This week, PLEX Capital proudly joined leaders and visionaries at the 46th Annual United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) National Conference in Atlanta, GA.

From meaningful conversations to new collaborations, the event reflected what we stand for at PLEX Capital: empowering businesses, fostering growth, and building bridges of opportunity.

We are grateful to the USHCC for hosting such an impactful event and to the City of Atlanta for their incredible hospitality. Celebrating Entrepreneurship & Community Impact

What an inspiring way to kick off the weekend!
Our CEO, Amanda Villarreal, had the honor of serving as a judge for the FastTrac class presented by The Toolbox: Small Business Resource Center.

Fifteen talented entrepreneurs pitched their business ideas with passion and purpose. While all impressed the judges, three outstanding participants each earned a $5,000 grant to help bring their vision to life.

A special thank-you to Gabe Muñoz and Norma Loya for their incredible dedication to empowering small businesses in our community. Your work is creating opportunities that make a real difference!

What a fantastic day on the green at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City’s Classic Golf Tournament! ⛳️🌞

PLEX Capital LLC was proud to be a sponsor and participate in a tournament that celebrates community, connection, and culture. From powerful swings to popsicles in the sunshine, the day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and building meaningful relationships.

Meet the moderators of the Small Factors Roundtable at the IFA Roundtable Summit! Melissa and Amanda will facilitate peer-to-peer discussions focused on industry best practices, operational strategies, marketing techniques, and emerging trends that support sustainable growth and efficiency. They will also lead the exploration of how Small Factors can leverage technology, navigate complex funding dynamics, and adapt to market shifts to remain competitive in today’s evolving landscape.

Melissa Donald - President, Ventures
Melissa Donald began her career in commercial collections and quickly advanced from secretary to manager. In 2001, she joined a start-up factoring company with little knowledge of the field and rapidly rose to Operations Manager, learning the ropes through hands-on experience in courtrooms and on the road. After that company failed, she launched her own factoring business in 2007 with the support of a former investor, aiming to educate local businesses on the value of factoring—no matter the size of the need. Known as the “lady who does that weird finance stuff,” Melissa has built her company entirely through personal referrals and a grassroots network.

Amanda Villarreal, MBA - Managing Member, PLEX Capital LLC
Amanda J. Villarreal is the Founder and CEO of PLEX Capital, where she helps small and mid-sized businesses access alternative capital through accounts receivable financing. With over a decade of experience building a successful finance firm from the ground up, she now leads PLEX in supporting clients across industries like construction, staffing, and janitorial services—offering tailored funding solutions and trusted guidance to help them grow and manage cash flow.
