"In America, there are two tax systems: one for the informed and one for the uninformed. Both are legal." — Judge Learned Hand
The tax code isn't designed to be intuitive. It rewards people who understand it — not people who work harder.

Hand made the same point even more directly in a 1947 tax case: "Anyone may arrange his affairs so that his taxes shall be as low as possible... there is not even a patriotic duty to increase one's taxes."

"Tax-free retirement income" sounds like a myth. It isn't — it's a specific, well-established strategy, not a loophole.
The short version: certain permanent life insurance structures let you access your own cash value later in life without it counting as taxable income.

There's a difference between hoping the market cooperates and having a floor that doesn't care what the market does.
That's what a guaranteed income component can actually do in a retirement plan — not eliminate market participation, just make sure your essentials never depend on it.

Lose 20% in the market, and you need 25% back just to get back to break even.
Lose 50%, and you need 100%.
That math doesn't care whether you're 35 or 65 — but when it happens to you matters enormously.

Have a 401(k), 403(b), or 457 — whether it's with your current employer or one you've left behind? There's a good chance nobody's actively managing it.

Here's something worth knowing: your workplace retirement account — current or old — doesn't require a rollover just to get real oversight. There's now a way for financial professionals to gain properly authorized, compliant access to actively manage those accounts directly within the plan — without moving your money out, and without sharing login credentials.

It's called the WIN platform, and it's changing how workplace retirement accounts get managed, whether you're still contributing to them or not. Take a look at the video below to see how it works.

Curious whether your plan qualifies? Reach out — I'm happy to walk you through it.

Investment advisory and retirement account services, including the WIN platform, are offered by Ronald Greene through Polley Wealth Management LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser.
