Sometimes the direction you're going matters more than how quickly you get there.

As author and financial expert Sahil Bloom pointed out in an interview with Bjorn Larson, Thrivent's Director of Financial Education, knowing what your real priorities are in life makes all the difference in your financial plan. When clear priorities guide your financial decisions, you can pursue your goals more efficiently.

Little eyes are always watching—especially when it comes to money. The way we manage and talk about money shapes our kids long before they earn their first dollar.

Try modeling these simple habits to help them build a healthy relationship with money:
⭐ Avoid speaking about money with stress or shame
⭐ Narrate your choices (“We’re saving for X, so we’re skipping Y today”)
⭐ Keep a visible savings routine
⭐ Use positive language around budgeting and planning

Hosting this fused glass event with clients and friends sparked an unexpected parallel for me. As we arranged tiny pieces of glass into a beautiful final design, I was reminded of how I help clients build their financial lives, one thoughtful piece at a time.

Investments, goals, protection, and legacy each matter. When they come together with intention, they create something beautiful.

These women represent the clients I’m most passionate about serving: women building wealth in partnership, single women creating financial independence on their own terms, and women navigating financial transitions after divorce or the loss of a spouse. Helping women make confident financial decisions through every stage of life is at the heart of my work.

I loved creating space for conversation, connection, and community with this group. Moments like these remind me that financial planning is about so much more than numbers. It is about helping people build lives they feel confident in.

If this resonates with you, or if you know a woman navigating these kinds of financial decisions who could use a trusted resource, I’d love to connect. 💕

Should you take Social Security early? It depends on your unique needs. Before deciding, make sure to take the pros and cons into consideration.

Together, we can talk about your Social Security income and retirement savings to help determine whether claiming benefits early makes sense.

You can claim your Social Security retirement benefits as early as age 62. If you have limited retirement savings or more immediate income needs, delaying benefits can feel like a missed opportunity, especially if you're in good health or have other resources available. Here's why it may pay to…

When you've been busy with a growing family and financial goals like buying a house or paying down debt, it's understandable that you might have put off investing or felt that it's not really for you. But you and your family deserve the benefits of investing, too.
