A wonderful opportunity to attend the farewell celebration of one of my former people leaders, who dedicated an amazing 30 years at NAB.

Great reconnecting with old colleagues, meeting new people, sharing my business journey, and creating new connections and opportunities.

Yesterday , I had the privilege of attending the CPA Australia Member Recognition Ceremony in Melbourne.

This was a long-overdue celebration of my CPA qualification, which was originally scheduled for graduation but cancelled due to the COVID lockdown. Being invited by CPA Australia to finally mark this milestone and celebrate alongside fellow CPA members made the evening especially meaningful.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the journey, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet many new professionals across the CPA community. Timing is perfect for me to expand my networking opportunities with new accountants .

Soon after leaving NAB, I was exploring options to start my own mortgage broking business. In the meantime, I took a temporary opportunity with ANZ.

On my very first day, I saw an advertisement that simply said, “Start your business right.”

I took a photo of it, and the message stuck with me.

Not long after, I launched my broking business.

The journey is still unfolding, and I’m still navigating the path, but sometimes a simple message at the right moment is all it takes to turn an idea into action.
