Our wonderful Business Development Director Rachel is raising money for Sands after walking a whopping 100km in March!
One Stop Business Finance’s Group MD Andrew Mackenzie – who just happens to be Rachel’s dad – joined her for a 13k stretch, and has donated £1,000 on behalf of OSBF.
Rachel said: “Sands is a charity very close to my heart, with a community of people who don’t want to be in it but have sadly found themselves a part of.
"I wanted to raise as much money as I could to make their heartbreaking journey a tiny bit more bearable.
"It was lovely to get my dad out to join me, and I’m really appreciative of the OSBF donation. The current amount raised is £2,672, anything additional is gratefully received.”
Andrew said: “I’m proud of all of Rachel’s fundraising efforts, and so joining her for a small part of her walking was great – and we didn’t talk about work too much!”
Sands - the stillbirth and neonatal death charity - provide a multitude of services from rooms to give birth in privately, memory boxes, cold cots, coffins, and many pieces of equipment, as well as trained therapists for support post birth and for neonatal deaths.
