Tomorrow will mark four years since I joined the Cornerstone Family.

Prior to getting into the mortgage industry, I worked as a software developer, analyst, and project manager assistant with General Motors. Needless to say, I couldn’t really find my fit there. I wasn’t happy and was unfulfilled. Dave and I bought our home together and after walking through that process, I knew I wanted to be the one helping families buy their homes too. Being at the closing table made me proud, gave me joy, and led me to where I am today. My favorite part of this career is sitting at the closing table, witnessing homeowners experience that same exuberant feeling and knowing I helped get them there. Thank you to all of my clients and referral partners for allowing me to find that fulfillment and experience it over and over and over again.

Here’s a few things you should know:

1. A realtor can help you negotiate not only pricing, but also defects or repairs.

2. They save you time and money. Agents typically help you schedule inspections, communicate with the lender and attorney, and help you navigate the entire process.

3. They’re your sound of reason. Buying a home IS an emotional process. Having someone else that won’t be living in the home, can help you see the pros and cons.

4. It’s common for the seller to pay the agents commission.
