The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) has started its activities at the end of 2008 and is now in its thirtieth year of operation. ICHAM currently has 2 offices based in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with more than 100 members, among which are well-known Italian names: Piaggio, Perfetti Van Melle, Intesa Sanpaolo, Datalogic Scanning, Bonfiglioli, Tenova, BNP Paribas, Danieli, etc. The Chamber has the main purpose of undertaking activities to support commercial exchanges with Italy, including facilitating the activities of its members; organizing trade missions, workshops, seminars; developing the contacts and cooperation with the institutions in Italy and the European Union, with the Chamber of Commerce Network, and with business associations.

2020 is a remarkable year for ICHAM as the Chamber is one of the few Chambers being able to organize successfully many activities and projects despite the ongoing pandemic, all thanks to the effective measures carried out by Vietnamese Government and the cooperation from the community. Various cultural events, online meetings and webinars have been hosted to strengthen the business connection between Italy and Vietnam. ICHAM also cooperated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy to activate Desk Vietnam in Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy, Italy’s key economic regions. The Desk is an office to provide information and support for local companies interested in Vietnam through conducting commercial feasibility reports for products and services in the Vietnam market, as well as organizing institutional and business missions to Vietnam. With such achievements, ICHAM is honored to receive the recognition of Assocamerestero, Association of Italian of Chambers of Commerce Abroad. During June 13-15, 2026, ICHAM Chairman Federico Vasoli and Executive Director Tran Thanh Quyet represented ICHAM at the 35th Worldwide Convention of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (Assocamerestero) in Genoa, Italy.

The Convention brought together representatives of 86 Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad across 64 countries, together with key Italian institutions and economic stakeholders, to discuss a shared vision towards greater coordination, a stable presence on the markets, and a shared strategy needed to guide Italian companies through the complexities of global trade.

Explore the key messages of the Convention:
🌐 The network of 86 Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad is defined as "a strategic and irreplaceable infrastructure" for the national production system;
🤝 The concrete needs of Italian businesses are prioritized;
🇮🇹 Despite tariffs, geopolitical tensions, and shifts in global value chains, the Italian production system is proving its resilience;
📈 The increasingly complex geography of international trade is highlighted as both significant challenges and emerging opportunities.

Our project, Asia Best Sommelier in Italian Wines – Regional Development Platform, ranked 2nd globally among 19 eligible CCIE projects with a score of 85.3/100. Building on the success of A Taste of Italian Wines and Vietnam Best Sommelier in Italian Wines 2025, the initiative aims to create a regional platform for training, networking, and developing the next generation of Italian wine professionals across Asia.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) is pleased to support the Municipality of Genoa, the People’s Committee of Da Nang, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Italy, and the Honorary Consulate of Viet Nam in Turin in organizing the International Conference: Genoa – Da Nang.

Building on the MoU signed between Da Nang and Genoa at the Meet Da Nang 2025 Forum, the conference will bring together institutional leaders, businesses, investors, and cultural stakeholders to explore new opportunities for cooperation between the two dynamic port cities.

Representing ICHAM are Mr. Federico Vasoli, Chairman, and Mr. Tran Thanh Quyet, Executive Director. Mr. Quyet will contribute to the Business Session with a presentation on “Italy–Viet Nam Business Opportunities.”
