We appreciate the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore for hosting and AVPN for organizing the Sustainable Enterprise & Social Investment Connect 2026. We’re proud that Touchstone Partners was invited to contribute to these vital dialogues. What an exciting and meaningful morning with founders at our Coffee Chat Series. ☕

Thank you to our speakers — Dzung Do Nguyen, Andrew Fairthorne, Ha Le, Tu Ngo — and to everyone who joined and shared so openly. What stood out most was not just the ideas discussed, but the honesty behind the stories and the willingness to reflect on what really matters when building a company.

One strong theme that emerged was around growth. There are phases when startups grow incredibly fast, and the reminder was not to be swept up by momentum, but to slow down, step back, and think carefully before making the next decision. Rapid growth can be exciting, but thoughtful pauses often make the difference between short-term wins and long-term, sustainable progress.

The conversations also surfaced the reality of the early days where founders benefit from first-hand experience. Going beyond assumptions, testing whether a concept truly works in the real world, and getting directly involved in early ex*****on to truly understand customers and operational realities. Staying close to the problem consistently leads to stronger products and clearer decisions.

Touchstone Partners was represented by our General Partner Tu Ngo, who shared perspectives grounded in the current financing landscape. Investors are looking for impact KPIs that are measurable, credible, and directly tied to how the business grows and makes money, while ESG expectations vary significantly across capital providers depending on stage and instrument. Touchstone launches $10M fund to accelerate Vietnam’s green transition 🌱

We’ve just launched a US$10mil fund focused on climate-technology, driven by our belief in a high-impact, high-return thesis and Vietnam’s increasingly supportive policy environment.

Our annual Net Zero Challenge co-organised with Temasek Foundation will be a key pipeline for sourcing pilots and investments. We’re also inviting global startups to pilot in Vietnam as a springboard for regional scale.

On stage today, our Managing Partner Khanh Tran shared Vietnam’s story, and why a focus on climate-tech is crucial. Here are some ideas he covered:

➡️ Vietnam is among the world’s top agricultural producers and exporters, and also one of the top 5 most climate-vulnerable countries. The future of global food security depends on how we adapt.
➡️ As a Vietnam-focused fund, we’ve invested $7M+ in Vietnamese climate startups, helped our portfolio secure $3M+ in grants, and unlocked $25M+ in follow-on capital.
➡️ For farmers, tech-enabled solutions need to be straightforward and practical.
➡️ Tech should not replace people (co-ops and “middle-men” are vital). But by empowering them with better tools, we can scale sustainable practices faster.
