Our Story

Knauf Group was founded in 1932 by the brothers Karl and Dr, Aftons N. Knauf in Iphofen Germany. Knauf nowadays operates more than 220 production plants and offices in over 80 countries with over 27,000 employees. For the last few years, Knauf is spreading the market to East Europe and Asia. Knauf Vietnam applied for and gained an investment license in 2013 to build a gypsumboard manufacturing facility in Hai Phong, North of Vietnam. The plant started operational early 2016 and currently Knauf Vietnam has been providing gypsumboard products using German technology nationwide. All Knauf products passed strict technical requirements internationally (ASTM C1396) and domestically (TCVN 8256:2009).
