The objectives of Bequia Entrepreneurs Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited are:
(a) To manage and operate Bequia Entrepreneurs Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited as efficiently, effectively and profitable as possible. (b) Develop adequate fundraising initiatives that will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and sustainability of all our projects and programs.
(c) Increase our Capacity/Market Share within St. Vincent & the Grenadines as a result of reaching out and helping more people in vulnerable communities through sustainable livelihoods training\coaching via entrepreneurship in various skills as needed. (d) To promote the implementation of the Green Economy in the Caribbean Context by improving the social, economic, environmental and physical well-being of its members and by extension the people within communities across St. Vincent and The Grenadines. (e) To disseminate information to Members in a timely manner and develop a database on Entrepreneurial Development statistics and best practices which will be available to members. (f) To provide advice\consultations to members on technical, business or financial issues. (g) To create a Micro Finance Facility that will give financial support to gainful and sustainable livelihoods opportunities for members. (h) To arrange for the marketing of the member’s or society’s products and services to the local, regional and global community. (i) To co-operate with other Co-operatives on matters of common interest. (j) To promote thrift and economy among members of the co- operative. (k) To borrow money from any person, group, agency, credit union, financial institutions or company and give security for such funds so borrowed on any lease/property of the co-operative or accept contributions, gifts on behalf of the cooperative. (l) To complement Government’s plan of diversification and poverty reduction through sustainable economic development. (m) To promote the spirit of the Co-operative way of life as a positive step towards the economic development and social upliftment
of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
