November 1st, 1977, a 26-year-old named Rick Luman began a 48-year journey in the insurance industry. From starting as a new agent in Caldwell, Ohio, to agency manager in Wooster, Ohio, then returning as an agent to his hometown of Zanesville in 1989, Rick opened his Zanesville office. Customers became friends, and friends became like family. But with this bittersweet announcement, he is excitedly publicizing his retirement on January 1st, 2026, at the young age of 74.
For all existing clients, we want to reassure you, this is not the end of serving you. The Company is assigning a trusted and tenured agent to temporarily oversee and service your insurance needs. Our office location at 1038 Linden Ave, and phone number, 740-452-0737, will remain active. Once a permanent agent is selected to take over the office, a notice will be sent out to all clients.
Rick and his team are tremendously grateful to all who chose them to handle their insurance needs over the last 48 years, and even more for the relationships that developed in that time. The comradery amongst those in the same industry, the team members he has had along the way, those around him in our community, and his loyal customers contributed to a successful and fulfilling career.
