🚗 Here’s another California driving rule that some people seem to forget!

Your license plate needs to be clear, visible and readable. California law prohibits driving with an illegible or altered license plate.

And starting in 2026, California made it a $1,000 infraction to manufacture devices designed to obscure or interfere with license-plate reading.

So skip the fancy covers and anything that hides your plate. Keep it clear. Keep it legal. ❤️

🚌💛 SCHOOL BUS = STOP!

This is one of those California driving rules that really shouldn’t need a reminder—but it’s an important one.

When a school bus is flashing red lights, you must stop from either direction and remain stopped until the children are safely across and the red lights stop flashing. There is an exception when the bus is on the other side of a divided or multilane highway with two or more lanes in each direction.

And the consequences for ignoring it can be serious: up to a $1,000 fine and a one-year suspension of your driving privilege.

Most importantly, those are someone's kids. ❤️ Slow down. Pay attention. STOP for the bus.

🔥 This one should be obvious… but unfortunately, it isn’t!

With California’s wildfire risk, please don’t throw a cigarette out of your car window. One small ember can ignite dry grass and turn into a much bigger problem.

California law prohibits throwing a cigarette, cigar, or other flaming or glowing substance from a vehicle. Let’s all do our part to help protect our communities. ❤️

Did you know you should signal at least 100 feet before making a turn? And you should signal before every lane change, too.

That little turn signal gives the drivers around you time to know what you’re planning to do—and can help prevent surprises on the road. ❤️

🚗 Are you a left-lane camper? 😄

In California, the far-left lane on multilane highways is generally the passing lane. Once you’ve passed, move back to the right when it’s safe to do so and help keep traffic flowing.
