As the thunder roars and the lightning strikes, storm season is upon us! That yields a chance for high winds, heavy rain, and large hail, along with the possibility of damages to your roof.

Ensure that you are using a reputable roofing contractor. ‘Free roof’ offers that avoid the payment of a deductible are likely faulty and should be declined. Specials or upgrades that claim to avoid your deductible may be bending the law and are better off left at your front door.

Do you travel Texas roads in the early hours of the morning or night? It’s likely that you’ve seen a few deer grazing on the shoulder of the road and/or experienced the scary rush of suspense waiting for any that may galavant across!

Winter is in full swing and beckons these cool critters out of their thickets to maximize foraging efforts. This means sightings might increase and can be expected at dusk or dawn and anywhere in between.

• Scan the roadway and shoulders regularly.
• Use high-beam lights to spot extra eyes.
• Avoid any and all distractions while driving.

*Stay alert and drive with caution. It might save a 'buck' and unwanted auto claim.

Rescue pups Emmy and Miller are raising the ‘woof’ for the difference that the funds given will make for furry friends in their local community! Between 1860 and 1890, cattle drives were trending now as the best means of getting southern beef up north. The Chisholm Trail played a critical role in accomplishing this task! Fort Worth Today notes that this path saw the likes of 5 million cattle during that time and further states it was ‘the greatest migration of livestock in world history.’

Pierce Insurance mostly has Branch 3 members.
Branch 3 usually does an annual meeting/luncheon for their members but unfortunately it was cancelled this year due to weather.
If you are curious how the branch 3 funds are being allocated please reach out.
Most of the funds go directly back into the surrounding communities, to the local Volunteer Fire departments, 4-H clubs, community outreaches and more!
Branch 3 also offers a scholarship to all graduating seniors if their parents have their owner full time dwelling within Branch 3.

Due to the pending weather our Annual Branch 3 meeting that was scheduled for this Sunday, January 25 has been CANCELLED.
This was done for the safety of our members!
We are very sad to miss out on seeing our customers and sharing a meal together and playing bingo for the year. We will see you next year though!

If you are in Yorktown, please come by our office to get some new pens, calendars and reusable tote bags.

Avoid ice-cold claims..

Brrr. As the arctic air arrives and freezing temperatures set in, your pipes shiver! Interior water damage is a cold way to start the year. Avoid any unexpected bursts, claims, and replacement costs by making proper preparations now.

Hochheim Hint:

• Protect inside pipes. Insulate pipes within vulnerable areas like crawl spaces or the attic.

• Caulk air leaks! Keep the cold air out to keep your pipes warm and toasty through the winter.

• Wrap outside faucets. Dripping these is unnecessary, but do remove hoses or sprinklers.
