The current House budget proposal threatens to reduce benefits to Medicare beneficiaries. House Budget Committee Chairman Price and Senate Budget Committee Chairman Enzie want to end Medicare as we know it according to Medicare Rights Center President Joe Baker. According to a new report non prescription treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia has shown to be an important alternative to the antipsychotic drugs often prescribed. Treating the symptoms of dementia with drugs has been common despite negative side effects including an increased risk of death.
