Brian Baker
June 12, 1969 - September 7, 2021
Richburg, SC – Mr. Wesley Brian Baker, 52, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center.
His home going service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Fort Mill Church of God, with Revs. Gary Adkins and Ken Baker officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park – Hollis Lakes Road. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am-12:30 pm.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Brian was the son of Juanita Baker Harrison of Rock Hill and David Walker Baker of Winnsboro, SC. He was the owner of 007 Bail Bond and sold insurance for Palmetto Surety. He was involved in mission work with the School of Christ and traveled to many countries including Russia as a missionary. He was also active in his church, Harvest Ministries Church of God of Prophecy, with the security team and in other capacities. He was a football coach with the Rock Hill Cowboys and also coached baseball. He was a blackbelt MMA/jujitsu trainer and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed dirt track and drag racing. He was a constant presence and supporter of his son, Elisha.
Brian was a mentor, friend and spread the gospel to all he met.
In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his wife of 19 years, Shannon J. Baker; his son, Elisha Baker of Richburg, SC; his brother, Kevin (Diane) Baker of Rock Hill, SC; his nephew, Tanner (Taylor) Baker; two nieces, Taylor Sims and Kara Baker; and Elisha’s godparents, Wayne (Cyndi) Helms of Rock Hill, SC.
