IMPORTANT! Medicare Individuals with Providence and UnitedHealthcare (UHC) their contract is ending effective December 31, 2025.
Important Facts to Know:
UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage HMO Plan Members will no longer be in-network after December 31, 2025.
Be aware, UnitedHealthcare may attempt to reassign members to a non-Providence P*P and direct them to non-Providence facilities for care.
Members will need to select a new Providence-accepted Medicare Advantage Plan now to continue accessing their Providence physicians, hospitals, and specialists after January 1, 2026.
This does NOT affect UHC Medicare Supplement plans or UHC commercial lines of business – Only Medicare Advantage HMO.
Please contact me if you do not have a Medicare Agent to assist you with enrolling into a new plan before December 7th.

Several major insurance providers—including Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, and Aetna—have announced they will be exiting the Medicare Advantage PPO market as of December 31, 2025.

If you are currently enrolled in one of these plans, it’s important to watch for an official notification letter and it will confirm whether your specific plan is ending.

If your plan is terminated, you may be left without Medicare Advantage coverage starting January 1, 2026.

Please review the letter carefully and explore alternative Medicare coverage options as soon as possible to ensure you have continuous coverage in the new year.
