Rates are projected to hit the high 5% - 6% range. How can you protect yourself? Lock now so you don’t have a mini heart attack every day like I do. Here is how it works. You lock a rate for 90 days which requires a $500 deposit. If you open escrow that $500 goes toward your closing costs. If you hit day 90 you can extend for another 90 or if by some miracle rates are lower your rate drops to the lower rate.

Look how adorable these two are! This couple was the perfect example of why working with a broker has huge advantages. They had some student loans that were making it hard for us to qualify them at the purchase price we needed so we went on the hunt till we found a portfolio loan that wouldnt count the student loans, was a lower down payment and because of their excellent credit had no mortgage insurance. @ Anaheim, California

The Fed Cut Rates..But Mortgage Rates went up!? Every mortgage banker is screaming FED CUT RATES! Which is funny because mortgage rates actually went up. The last month has show that even though mortgage rates are influenced by what the fed does there are a lot of other factors that can make it so even when the FED does a substantial cut mortgage rates can actually go in the opposite direction.
