As anticipated Fed raises rates a quarter point. What this means in mortgage rate terms is that since we are tied to the 10 year treasury bond, the drop in the treasuries results in a slight improvement in mortgage rates today. As this occurrence has been up and down for months now. Tough to gauge in the short term. Nonetheless rates will be hovering around the same give or take quarter point up or down. Purchase market still is heating up depending on price that is comfortable with relation to your monthly payment factoring in property taxes, which can affect where your budget lies.
