David Weber? Yep, he’s clever.

No objections. This guy knows the law! We won’t argue with that. He keeps our team in line and counsels us on best practices to keep us in compliance. For the month of May we place on the docket another marvelous management introduction.

Mr. David Weber is the vivacious Vice President of Corporate Legal/Government Relations at Hochheim Prairie Insurance and his repertoire boasts of bold knowledge within insurance, government, and history! He began his career at Hochheim in 2012 as our in-house counsel, later served as the Vice President of Claims until 2020, and now holds his current title.

David brings a wealth of wisdom to the table with staunch leadership and an unwavering pride for the company’s service to rural Texas. Our team is grateful for his guidance and proud of the proper path he strives to pave.

Guru? No lie. The stats below show why..

• David has been a licensed attorney for over 30 years.
• He’s a history major and full of facts and stories.
• 9 insurance industry designations follow his name.
• He is a licensed adjuster and agent.

A Meaningful Memorial Day

What is Memorial Day to you? Fabulous outdoor gatherings, superb shopping and sales, and delicious spreads of all your favorite foods likely come to mind. As it signifies the official start of summer and you kick off such a fun season with an extra day of freedom, take a moment to truly reflect and remember why such a nationwide holiday even exists.

Memorial Day began as ‘Decoration Day’ in 1868 with a somber tradition of placing wreaths on the graves of those who had lost their lives in the Civil War. It was made a federal observance to honor all fallen members of the Armed Forces in 1971. The last Monday of each May is now set aside to reflect, remember, honor and appreciate all who have so graciously sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we continue to enjoy.

Did you know? As the cool breezes blow swiftly through the calm greens of Arlington National Cemetery, so will over 260,000 flags placed at the headstones of those that fought for such American freedom. Take a moment to remember the sacrifice that each made as you enjoy an extended weekend of festivities — this will ensure a meaningful Memorial Day.

Hurricane Hype –

What’s all the hubbub? Meteorologists at AccuWeather predict a slightly lower rate of development in the 2026 season ahead.

This is due to El Niño warming waters in the Atlantic and creating ‘wind shears’ that make it challenging for tropical storms to form.

As June 1st marks the official start of Hurricane season, AccuWeather warns that ‘we can still see major hits across the United States.’
