“I just got my property tax bill… but I have an escrow account. Do I need to pay this bill?!” 😰

If you have an escrow account, your loan servicer typically pays your property taxes for you — even though the county still mails the statement directly to you. Yakima County sends out tax statements or e-notices to taxpayers within the first two weeks of February.💌

So before you panic and double-pay… check your mortgage statement or call your servicer to confirm it’s scheduled from escrow.

Homeownership comes with mail. 😅 Not all of it requires action!

Lenders will require a clear trail of where your earnest money funds are coming from.

💡Tip: If you plan to buy soon, move any cash into your savings account now and let it “season” for at least two months. This can make a big difference in the process! You can’t place cash into your account and then get a cashiers check the next day or week.
