Wow. What an incredible honor.
When I first walked through the doors of Wellness House Yakima, I wasn't there as a volunteer, board member, or fundraiser. I was there as a cancer patient, freshly facing a recurrence of Granulosa Cell Ovarian Cancer and trying to navigate a chapter of life I never expected.
I remember walking the halls and seeing the names on the plaques. Some were familiar, some were people I'd never met, but every name represented someone who had helped shape this amazing organization and make a difference for families going through some of life's hardest moments.
Never in a million years did I imagine my name would one day be on one of those plaques.
This wasn't something I set out to achieve. I simply believe in the mission. Wellness House was there for me and my family when we needed support, encouragement, and hope. Being able to give back, pay it forward, and help ensure others have access to those same resources has been a privilege.
Thank you to everyone at Wellness House for this recognition. I am humbled, grateful, and inspired to keep supporting an organization that changes lives every single day.
And to anyone who has donated, volunteered, sponsored an event, shared a post, attended a fundraiser, or supported this mission in any way—this recognition belongs to all of us. ❤️
If you haven't taken a tour and learned about their mission, I'm challenging you to call and schedule a tour. See how you can get involved!
We start the first week of June by celebrating our 2025 Mazie Meade Inspirational Spirit Award recipient, Katrina Henkle! Please help us congratulate this amazing woman!
