A Proud History

Riverfront Federal Credit Union was founded in 1948 as the RDG Reading Federal Credit Union to serve the employees of the Reading Railroad. Through the years, other organizations and companies were permitted to join RDG, leading to substantial growth. To reflect the resulting diversity of our field of membership, we chan

ged our name to Riverfront Federal Credit Union in 1987. Additional growth came in 2000 when Riverfront added the City of Reading as an underserved area to our field of membership; and again, in 2008 when we were granted a charter amendment to allow anyone who currently lives, works, worships or attends school in Berks County, Pennsylvania or is a legal entity doing business in Berks County to join. We are as proud of our beginning as where we are today. Our Mission

Last week, we hosted our annual Burgers with the Bosses, giving our employees a chance to step away from the everyday, enjoy some great food, have a little fun, and spend time with the people who make Riverfront, well… Riverfront.

We’re making a small change to our branch hours beginning September 1. Our Thursday and Friday hours will be 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Need to stop in and see us? We’ll be here. Need to take care of something outside those hours? Your Riverfront app can help you handle everyday banking right from your phone.

🐾 Alan’s Adventures: 14 Weeks Old!

Alan has been keeping busy since his last update! He’s been exploring new places, meeting new people and practicing all the skills with Cindy & Berks County Seeing Eye Puppy Raisers that will help him become a future The Seeing Eye, Inc.

His recent adventures included trips to Ace Hardware, Lowe’s, Walmart, Petco and Knoebels, where he got plenty of practice navigating new sights, sounds, smells and distractions. He even met his first cats during an overnight puppy-sitting visit!

Cindy says Alan is doing a great job and continues to make progress - even if “Down” is still a work in progress. 😉

We’re loving watching this little guy grow! 💛🐾
