✨Employee Spotlight: Meet Valerie!✨
This month, we're proud to shine the spotlight on Valerie, one of the friendly voices behind the scenes at KSP Insurance!
For more than 37 years, Valerie has been helping clients with their billing needs as a Customer Service Representative in our Billing Department. Whether she's answering questions over the phone or assisting someone in the office, her goal is simple: make sure every customer feels heard, cared for, and confident they're in good hands.
Valerie's journey into insurance began by chance after receiving a phone call about an opportunity at KSP. Since then, she's worn many hats - from receptionist to small claims, personal lines executive, and now billing customer service. Along the way, she earned both her Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses, accomplishments she's especially proud of.
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Valerie's answer was easy, "helping people when they need it most." She believes every conversation matters because when it comes to a client's money and insurance, it's personal. Knowing she has made someone's day a little easier is what motivates her.
Valerie describes the culture at KSP as "family", where teammates genuinely support one another and work together with respect. She also believes deeply in KSP's commitment to always doing what's right for clients - a value she carries into both her work and everyday life.
Outside of work, Valerie loves spending time with her children and granddaughter, enjoying nature, gardening, relaxing at the beach, and sharing meals together - especially seafood! She's an early bird, enjoys classic hits from the '60s, '70s, and '80s, and one item still on her bucket list is riding a horse along the beach.
Her advice for anyone entering the insurance industry? "Keep an open mind and never stop learning."
And one piece of advice she'd like every client to remember:
"Insurance isn't a waste of money. It's there to protect what matters most when you need it most."
