✨ Employee Spotlight: Meet Annette Richards ✨
This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Annette Richards, one of our dedicated Account Executives at KSP Insurance!
For the past 8 years, Annette has been helping clients navigate their insurance needs with care and compassion. Her days are spent answering customer calls, reviewing coverages, finding opportunities to save clients money, and helping people understand their insurance protection. Sometimes, her role goes beyond policies and paperwork - she's simply a friendly voice during life's unexpected challenges, reassuring clients that everything will be okay.
Annette's insurance career began nearly 48 years ago when she started as a receptionist at a small agency. What brought her to KSP was a desire to work for an agency that puts clients first, which is a value that she says she has found every day since joining the team.
What Annette enjoys most about her work is helping people. She takes pride in building meaningful relationships with her clients, listening to their concerns, and getting to know them beyond their policies. Many clients feel comfortable sharing their stories with her, and those connections are what make her work so rewarding.
When describing the culture at KSP, Annette doesn't hesitate:
"Our team is the best I've ever worked with, and I've worked at four other agencies throughout my career. We're not only a team, but we are a family."
Her advice for anyone considering a career in insurance? Be prepared to keep learning. And the insurance tip Annette wishes every client knew? "Don't skimp on your coverage!" Having the right protection in place can make all the difference when the unexpected happens.
Outside the office, Annette loves spending time with her children and grandchildren, catching up with friends, attending outdoor summer concerts, traveling, taking girls' weekend road trips, and cheering on her favorite hockey and baseball teams. She also enjoys quiet moments at home cuddling with her beloved 11-pound Shih Tzu, who turns 14 this June and proudly holds the title of "best friend." 🐾
A former night owl who has happily transitioned into an early bird, Annette's favorite Michigan season is summer. And while she's working, you'll almost always find classic rock playing in the background.
