Property taxes aren’t one of them.

A lot of buyers budget based on the current owner’s tax bill — but after you buy, that number can change. When your home’s taxable value is reassessed (which often happens after a sale), your taxes can go up… and so can your monthly payment if taxes are in your escrow.

It’s one of those “you don’t know what you don’t know” things — and why I make sure my clients are prepared before they get the keys.
