Our hearts (and stomachs!) are full after a wonderful celebration at The Meadows. We are incredibly blessed to have 37 of the finest men living here at The Meadows, alongside 12 amazing team members. To celebrate them, we fired up the grill for a special Father’s Day steak dinner!

The day was made even brighter thanks to the generosity of our community. A huge thank you to C & B Operations - Minnesota (John Deere) and Titan Machinery - Worthington, MN (Case International). Your donations of great hats, toy tractors, and koozies made for perfect gifts and door prizes. We appreciate your support so much!

Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing dads out there!

Les and his fishing buddy Dan reeled in this absolute beauty of a Largemouth Bass last week! They safely released it back into the water, so they can hopefully experience the thrill of catching it again. The exact location where this took place is a closely guarded secret...unless you happen to be our nurse Jessica F’s kids. Being the great guy that he is, Les took the kids out over the weekend to show them the ropes and share his favorite hidden fishing hole!

There is nothing quite like the first out-of-town trip of the season! We spent a wonderful day in Lismore at the St. Anthony Catholic Church Salad & Hotdish luncheon. The food was incredible, but the fellowship was even better!

We all enjoyed the outing immensely, but nobody had a better time than Don and Judy! They got to spend quality time catching up with their niece Ann and her husband Ben. To top off an already perfect day, Judy held a winning raffle ticket! She was excited to come home with a gift basket filled with her favorite chocolates, a beautifully scented candle, and the softest blanket ever!

A hidden treasure found! Look at what Francis just uncovered while digging through an old storage box...

This is the original "Native Maiden" hood ornament from his dad Joseph’s grey 1937 Pontiac! Even though the feather on her headpiece broke off long ago, it’s in remarkable condition.

Joseph sold the car back in the 1960s, but this piece of history stayed in the family. Such a special keepsake to pass down through generations. We know his dad would be so proud to see Francis cherishing it today!

Presenting the Class of 2026!

We hosted a Graduation reception to celebrate our amazing team members Ashley, Jase, Natya, and Taylor.

Ashley, Jase, and Natya are three of Worthington High's newest graduates, while Taylor, who couldn't attend the party, just graduated from Minnesota West with her LPN certification. All three of our high school graduates have big college plans this fall. Ashley is heading to Minnesota West, Jase is attending Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls, and Natya is off to Buena Vista University in Storm Lake.

We predict a very bright future for all four of these outstanding graduates!

Happy Retirement to an Ecumen Meadows icon, Joyce Bohn!

This week, we said a bittersweet farewell to our dear hairstylist, Joyce, who has run the Meadows salon for an incredible 25 years! She has been with us longer than any other team member or resident, and our community simply won't be the same without her! Our talented Joyce always left everyone both looking and feeling beautiful. We love her dearly and will miss very much!

Of her clients, Joyce said "You've all been a friend, mom, and Grandma all in one to me! Never once did it feel like work in the entire 25 years!" 🥹❤️

Thank you for everything, Joyce! Cheers to you!

THANK YOU to the Okabena Bees 4-H club for giving our outdoor spaces a beautiful springtime refresh! The youth group worked hard clearing away winter debris and setting out our patio furniture so residents and team members can relax and enjoy the warm weather.

This cleanup is part of their Community Pride project. The club returns in the fall for another cleanup, visits in the winter for a fun bingo activity, and uses our space for their monthly meetings. It is a wonderful win-win partnership, and we are so grateful for these special connections we share!

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest resident, Ron!

Ron’s move to the Meadows brings him full circle, as he has a special history right here in Worthington. After finishing his military service years ago, he lived and worked in town, spending years employed at the Worthington Power Plant. In a neat twist of fate, he used to live kitty-corner from our community, and he can actually see his old apartment building right from his new window! When the Worthington plant closed down, Ron relocated to Nebraska, where he enjoyed a long career as a supervisor at Hastings Utilities until his retirement.

Before his civilian career, Ron served his country as a submarine sailor with the U.S. Navy. Today, he is the proud patriarch of a wonderful family that includes four children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren!

He also brings a spirit of adventure to our community! An avid hiker and mountain climber, Ron has explored so many National Parks over the years that he has completely lost count. His passion for the outdoors has taken him all over the world, including a trip to China where he scaled the famous Yellow Mountain at the age of 65!

We are thrilled to have such a kind and adventurous neighbor join us. Welcome to the Meadows, Ron!
