Sorry folks, lost my cellphone when I broke my hip. Trying to find it. If you have not received your refund yet, you are not the only one. The IRS is busy Trying to get Pelosi"s and Joe's checks out. Stimulus, child tax credit checks. Refunds from unemployment that were taxed before Pelosi said it was not taxable. On and on.

Email Scams During The Tax Filing Season

IRS News Release 2020-34 warns of a widespread phishing scam with an email topic header, “Verifying your Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) before e-filing” from a bogus sender claiming to be the “IRS Tax E-Filing”. IRS Commissioner Rettig urges tax professionals to be vigilant.

Never open any attached file sent in an email. Instead, communicate with client using secure messaging portal. NAEA members are allowed free access to Verifyle.

Recipients of suspicious phishing emails should forward the message to [email protected], delete the message and empty the trash folder.
