Has your mortgage payment started to feel a little uncomfortable lately?

Sometimes it happens gradually as property taxes or insurance change, and before long the payment just starts to feel tighter in the monthly budget.

That was the reason a client and I recently scheduled a mortgage checkup. I helped her purchase her home a few years ago, and we decided it was a good time to review everything and see if there were any opportunities to improve things.

After reviewing the numbers, we discovered a refinance could lower her payment by about $125 a month.

That’s about $1,500 a year staying in her pocket.

A conversation and a simple review of the numbers helped her make a smart financial decision.
