As a reminder, food distribution is on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month from 8am-3pm.
For your convenience, this year we have been handing out 12 month calendars at checkout with the dates marked. Please feel free to ask for one.

The Cowlitz County Veterans Relief Fund (VRF) supports local veterans, their families, and families of deceased indigent veterans.

You may be eligible for assistance with:
• Food
• Housing & utilities
• Medical & counseling expenses
• School supplies & tuition
• Natural disaster assistance
• Burial/death expenses

The program is supported by the Board of Cowlitz County Commissioners and administered by Cowlitz County Health & Human Services in accordance with RCW Chapter 73.08.

🛍️ + 🥫 = Same Mission, Different Counters

We’re all part of Woodland Action—but the Woodland Action Thrift Store and food bank run on different schedules.

That means on days when the food bank is closed, our thrift store team may not have the answers or access to help with food services.

We always want to point you in the right direction, so for anything food bank related, please reach out during open hours or contact us directly 360-225-9998 or by using the contact form on our website.

📊 February by the numbers

In February, Woodland Action served 155 unique clients representing
416 family members in our community.

That includes:

🍼 20 children ages 0–2
🧒 177 children ages 3–18
👨‍👩‍👧 172 adults ages 19–54
👵 107 seniors ages 55+

We also handled:

📦 24,150 pounds of food in
🥫 18,857 pounds of food out

These are not just statistics. They are local families, children, working adults, and seniors who needed a little extra help getting through the month.

The need is real, and community support is what makes this work possible.

Here’s who relied on us for food support in January:

🥧 128 children (18 and under)
👨‍👩‍👧 188 adults (19–54)
👵 119 seniors (55+)

These numbers represent our neighbors — families, seniors on fixed incomes, and kids who deserve full stomachs so they can focus on school.

The need continues to grow, and we can’t do this work alone.
