What a great visit. Joy Cohen was so gracious with her time. Our food bank is incredible and my brother was very impressed and filled with ideas to take back to York.

So happy to host Woodland’s Jim Hilliard - State Farm Agent for a food recovery warehouse visit last week...not only to present Jim with a Yolo Food Bank supporter lawn sign for his First Street office, but also to meet his brother, John Hilliard, who works with the York County Food Bank in York, PA! Our Director of Operations Corkey Mapalo (Alan N Corkey Mapalo) and Director of Philanthropic Engagement Joy Cohan enjoyed learning more about John's work and the challenges shared during the pandemic by both food banks, and John left with many ideas to share with his team on the East Coast after witnessing first-hand the activity behind the nearly 1.2 million pounds of food moved through our warehouse and out to neighbors in need in Yolo County just last month.
