Edward Jones is a financial- services firm dedicated to serving the needs of individual investors. My branch team and I are passionate about building customized financial strategies and life-long relationships with families and business owners. Working closely with you and your CPA, attorney and other professionals, I can help determine the most appropriate financial strategy for you and your fami

ly. I also support business owners by evaluating and building custom retirement strategies to meet their financial needs. Though I enjoy working with all my clients, I have made the most impact with people in transition (changed jobs, recent retirement, divorce, etc.), small business owners and families saving for college. I became a financial advisor to give back to the community that has given so much to me and my family. My goal is to help as many people as I can buy their first home, put their kids through college, retire with dignity and leave a legacy for their family. For over two decades, I have lived in the Conejo Valley. Newbury Park is where I live, where my wife grew up and where we are raising our children. I have three kids, one son at Sequoia Middle School, a son at NPHS and a daughter at San Diego State University. I would like to answer any questions you have to allow you to make informed, financially sound decisions. Contact my office today to see how I can make your financial goals a reality. Despite pushing higher last week, markets in 2024 thus far can best be described as subdued.

In our latest Weekly Market Wrap, we discuss three data points to watch as markets get through a bumpy January.

"Inflation" and "the Fed" were two of the most used words in financial market commentary in 2023 as the economy continued to navigate an unconventional cycle. The first full trading week of 2024 brought a fresh read on consumer prices and more discussions about how the path of rates might look like.

In our latest Weekly Market Wrap, we offer our take on the debate around the timing of potential rate cuts. Additionally, we share insights into where we see opportunities as markets potentially enter a choppier phase.

2023 is over, and so too is the stock market's winning streak. After nine straight weeks of gains, the S&P 500 finally took a breather, falling slightly last week.

We'd chalk it up primarily to some beginning-of-the-year repositioning, as well as a to-be-expected break after a stellar 16% rally in the final two months of the year.

Last week brought fresh data on both the Fed and the labor market, and while it failed to fuel an extension to stocks' winning streak, we don't think it changes the broader direction as markets embark on their encore to last year's rebound.

In our latest Weekly Market Wrap, we share a few takeaways on how these important factors are kicking off 2024.

2023 started with depressed expectations and fears of a recession but ended with optimism and strong performance across most asset classes that make up a well-diversified portfolio.

The change of the calendar presents an opportunity to reflect and review some of the milestones that defined the economy and the markets over the past 12 months, along with our views on the potential implications for 2024.

It was generally a quiet week for the markets in terms of headlines and new data, with markets oscillating day to day, but finishing with a modest move for the week. It's been anything but a quiet year, however.

We think 2024 can build on this year's gains, but not without some bumps along the way. But before we turn the page on the calendar, let's look back at how 2023 stacks up against history. Spoiler: it's in good company. Read more in our latest Weekly Market Wrap.

With a few weeks left of 2023, markets remain on track for a strong finish. As the torch passes to 2024, investors are counting on a successful Fed pivot away from restrictive policy to a more neutral stance to build on this year's gains.

In our latest Weekly Market Wrap, we offer three reasons why we see a gradual shift in Fed policy ahead.

Stocks have been on a comeback tour in 2023, mounting a nearly 20% gain so far this year after a lousy 2022. The latest leg of that tour has been particularly enthusiastic with the market having just closed the books on a banner November.

With stocks now near their highs for the year, this week's Weekly Market Wrap looks at the recent strong performance and why we think the market can maintain good posture next year.

This past week brought our holiday opportunity to focus on the things we're thankful for. Thanksgiving also marks a turn into the homestretch for the year, so we've dished up a few holiday perspectives on market performance that help set the table for the year ahead.

Much like finding the perfect water temperature for a relaxing bath, navigating the incoming economic data in markets requires a delicate balance. Too hot, and there is a risk of economic overheating that pushes inflation higher triggering a Fed response. Too cold, and the markets may freeze as recessionary concerns resurface.

So far in November, the temperature has been just right, helping stocks reach a two-month high and placing the October correction in the rear-view mirror.

Ideal conditions don't last forever. But, in our latest Weekly Market Wrap, we share three reasons why the fundamental drivers are broadly moving in a direction we believe supports a positive outlook in 2024.
