Associated Healthcare Credit Union is the best healthcare credit union in Minnesota, since 1953, serving members in the healthcare industry for over 63 years. Our customers are called Members. We are a service-oriented organization, and we exist primarily to provide financial services strictly for our members’ benefit. AHCU, like all credit unions, is a non-profit organization owned by
its members. Membership in AHCU is a valuable employee benefit! A credit union offers economical financial services to a group of people who share a common bond. As a member-owner, you have a say in how your credit union operates. You are also eligible to serve on the credit union's board of directors, and supervisory committee, and/or to vote in the Annual Election for members like you who will represent your interests. Our Past, Present, and Future:
Associated Healthcare Credit Union (AHCU) is a member-owned financial cooperative that was organized to provide personal financial services to members in a safe and equitable manner. Our roots go deep. We were chartered in February of 1953 as Miller Employees Credit Union. In 1972 Miller Hospital merged with United Hospital prompting a name change to United Hospital Employee’s Credit union. Then in 1974, our membership expanded to include Children’s Hospital, once again prompting a name change to United and Children’s Hospitals Employees Credit Union. Finally in 1988, we changed our name to Associated Healthcare Credit Union, a name that could embrace future growth. In November of 2011, Blue Stone Federal Credit Union, serving the employees of Blue Cross Blue Shield, joined Associated Healthcare Credit Union. A few years later, in January of 2013, HealthEast Employees Credit Union, serving the employees and family of HealthEast, also joined our family.
