In Retirement, I share to help you in case of a house fire. Most people do not have a home inventory. Most people cannot name everything in just ONE room from memory. Imagine what you'd forget in a total loss. I strongly recommend that you take pictures of every room in your home from a couple different angles. Open closet doors, drawers, & cabinets. Don't forget a garage, porch, sheds. You can create your inventory from your pics. An insurance adjustors can work with you much better with the pics. This can make a difference of 10's of thousands of dollars. Don't put this off ! You never know when a loss will occur.

Just Sharing Info: Based on my 30 plus years with a securities license. I turn 74 this year. The closer I get to drawing on my IRA's ...the more conservative I get. I recently re-balanced my portfolio from 80% Growth 20% Income to 40% Growth and 60% Income. Today, I did it again...to 25% Growth and 75% Income. Standards & Poors index is very high, and this is a great measure on the whole stock market
These moves allow me to "lock in" most of my gains. I share this...as it may help some of you to review your own status.

This Holiday Season, two of our longterm Client Families suffered the loss of their sons. It is unimaginable losses. My heart breaks for both Sets of Parents. I hope there are many friends and family attending to them.

Gotta a new pic app. Was able colorize some old pics..descratch others...Saw this pic when I was 16 ( 56 years ago )...and tried another feature of the app. What a hoot.

In retirement, let me help you save your life. Traffic Deaths are jumping. During Covid, our roads became emptier, and drivers increased speed. People were abusing substances more. More people were without vehicle transportation, and rode bikes or walked. Now roads are full, as people are stopping remote work and still not taking mass transit or pooling. Speeds are still up and substances abuse remains high. Car jackings are prolific. All this to say...drive very carefully, without cell phone use, be aware of your surroundings, at slower speeds, anticipating bikes, peds, speeders. These are tough times on the road. Be extra cautious.

In retirement from my Insurance Agency..I still have tips to give... Zombie Apocalypse ... You've seen the commercial for a warranty company? People were covered on the Zombies, but not on the A/C. IT's TRUE !! Your Homeowner Policy is protection from perils, not a maintenance contract or warranty. You have coverage for Civil Commotion, which should include the Zombie Apocalypse... but if your A/C dies, NOT by a power surge/lightening strike/weight of snow...then probably not. Keep up your termite protection. Buy the coverage from your utility on the pipes between the house and street. And if you want the benefits of a warranty, you will need to buy one. Perils-Homeowner Policy. And also attach water backup and ordinance or law coverage. Some may want earthquake coverage too.

WARNING ! From now to November is the most dangerous time for accidents with deer ! Be very cautious when traveling near wooded roads without fences. If you encounter a deer...DO NOT SWERVE big time into an oncoming lane or off the road into the woods. Try to decelerate quickly, but maintain control...as your life and your passenger's lives may depend on it. Collision with deer are far more forgiving than an oncoming vehicle or tree. Be safe and enjoy the beautiful Fall months.

WARNING: If you get a Reckless Driving ticket. Do not just pay it, if this is offered. I would STRONGLY recommend that you retain counsel. Counsel should be in the same jurisdiction that you received the ticket. Counsel there will know the prosecutors & can bargain for a reduction. Reckless Driving is a major violation. It adds a large premium boost to your current insurance rates. It will cause a non-renewable on preferred rate auto insurance. It appears on your DMV Motor Vehicle record for 5 years. Worse, it will be seen by a judge, in any future court date for ELEVEN YEARS ! Spend the money and protect yourself.
