Welcome, Dustin! 🎉

We’re thrilled to officially welcome Dustin Luce as a new Partner at Tzedakah House!

Dustin brings more than 10 years of experience in the insurance world, including years spent helping teams get access to the kind of big-company benefits and support that make life easier for both employers and employees. At TZH, his focus will be on connecting with organizations who want better service and smarter benefit options for their people.

In Dustin’s own words:

“Becoming a partner at TZH is a proud and meaningful step for me. I’ve always believed in the power of community and the importance of protecting what matters most—and now I get to do that every day, alongside a team that has shared those values for 20+ years. Originally from Indiana, Dustin and his wife, Terril, have called Connecticut home since 2015. When they’re not cheering on the Indiana Pacers, you can usually find them camping, traveling internationally, or catching a concert. They also share their home with two beloved cats.

We’re lucky to have Dustin’s experience, energy, and vision on the team—and we can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make here at Tzedakah House!

👋 Meet Mallory!
Mallory Cicarella is one of the friendly faces making benefits actually make sense here at Tzedakah House. Since 2018, she’s been building relationships, guiding clients through plan choices, and making sure people feel cared for—not just covered.

Off the clock, you’ll find her at the hockey rink, cheering on her two goalie sons, Johnny & Alex 🥅. Her oldest plays for Notre Dame West Haven High School, and both boys keep her calendar full of games, practices, and road trips. She and her husband, John, are celebrating 14 years of marriage this September—talk about a power team on and off the ice.

We’re lucky to have Mallory’s heart, smarts, and people-first spirit on our team. 💙

📝 Benefits Update: Key Changes from the July 4 Budget Reconciliation Bill

The Budget Reconciliation Bill signed into law on July 4 includes several changes that may impact employers, employees, and benefit planning in 2026 and beyond.

Here are some of the updates:

🔹 HSA Compatibility Expands
– In 2025: Continued compatibility with low- or no-cost telehealth (retroactive to Jan 1, 2025)
– In 2026: Direct primary care (with restrictions) and certain Bronze/catastrophic Exchange plans become HSA-compatible

🔹 Dependent Care FSA Cap Increases
– In 2026: Annual limit increases from $5,000 to $7,500 (no inflation indexing)

🔹 Student Loan Repayment Benefits
– Made permanent under employer education assistance programs
– Annual cap ($5,250) will be indexed starting in 2027

🔹 New Youth Retirement Account Option
– Starting in 2026: Employers may contribute up to $2,500/year to retirement accounts for dependents under 18 (pending IRS guidance)

🔹 Expanded Tax Credits
– Includes adoption assistance (2025), paid family and medical leave (2026), and employer-provided childcare (2026)
