ACT Now Education helps Active Duty members, Veterans, Military Spouses and Dependents, Reservists, and the National Guard level up through career planning, certifications, apprenticeships, and transition support. In the spirit of giving, St. Michaels has contributed $4,000 to The Spring of Tampa Bay, marking the 10th day of our charitable giving initiative.

The Spring of Tampa Bay was conceived from a place of compassion and necessity. Founded by four visionary women, it began with a single act of kindness: offering a safe space in a spare bedroom for a friend escaping domestic abuse.

What started as a small network of community support quickly blossomed into Florida's largest domestic violence shelter, offering refuge and healing with 128 beds in its emergency shelter.

The mission of The Spring extends beyond providing immediate shelter. It aims to prevent domestic violence, protect victims, and promote transformative change in lives, families, and communities. Their mantra, "You Are Not Alone", resonates with survivors seeking to rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.

Metropolitan Ministries continues to be a lifeline for thousands, providing dignity, stability, and hope through comprehensive programs. Their impact is remarkable—last year alone, they served 2,310,103 meals across Tampa Bay and supported more than 10,447 families with essential services.

On the 6th Day of Giving, we are proud to donate $1,500 to Veterans Empowering Veterans (VEV) in Fayetteville, NC.

VEV’s mission is to create a supportive community for homeless and transitioning veterans, helping them rebuild stability and confidence as they reenter civilian life. Through job training, self-empowerment classes, case management, résumé support, financial and time-management education, transportation assistance, and a well-stocked food and clothing pantry, VEV provides a true hand-up—not a handout.

Their Empowerment Center serves as the heart of their work, offering holistic services that strengthen mind, body, and spirit while equipping veterans with the tools needed for long-term success. With more than 200 veterans already placed in jobs through their collaborative efforts, VEV is transforming lives every day.
