300 PB&J sandwiches, and a whole lot of smiles!

We had the best time at The Shores, a UMC Community in Ocean City, where residents and volunteers made over 300 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches together. Each one was packed up with raisins, a granola bar, and a bottle of water, then sent off to neighbors in need in Atlantic City through Angels in Motion - Atlantic County and in Rio Grande through The Branches Outreach

A big thank you to everyone who made it happen:

- The Shores, and South Jersey Shore Walk to End Alzheimer's for the donated food
- Our friends from St. John Lutheran Church and The Ocean City Queens for volunteering
- The wonderful residents of The Shores, who brought the energy, the laughter, and some seriously good sandwich-making skills

It’s a joy to see what happens when a community comes together. Nobody’s too busy and nobody’s too young or old to make a difference, one sandwich at a time.

What a day! The Walk to End Alzheimer’s on the Ocean City boardwalk could not have asked for better weather, or a better crowd. Hundreds of people turned out to raise funds for the important work the Alzheimer's Association is doing to find a cure, and I got to make so many new friends who truly care.

Seeing a sea of colorful pinwheels, each one carrying someone’s story, was something I won’t forget. Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, cheered, and stopped by to say hello.

And a big shout-out to my Thrivent teammates Jack Pettenati, Beth Bebb, and Dana Vlasic. I’m lucky to do this alongside you!
