Most of what we hear about in life are red flags 🚩
Red flags in relationships… jobs… investments.
Scroll long enough on social media and you’d think the world is nothing but warning labels and worst-case scenarios.
But after advising families for 25 years, I’ve learned something different.
Healthy momentum in life rarely comes from avoiding red flags.
It comes from recognizing green ones 💚🏳️🍀⛳🟢
It’s hard to build a life you love when all your energy goes to dodging what you fear.
Maybe that’s why this message matters right now.
We need to get better at being for things, not just against them.
💚 Green Flags in Money
• You save consistently, even when the number feels small. Compounding rewards the faithful, not the flashy. 💰
• You automate your financial life instead of relying on willpower. Friction kills more wealth than bad markets. ⚙️
• You talk openly about money with the people you love. Clarity builds trust… silence builds resentment. 🗣️
• You invest according to your future self, not your mood today. Long-term thinking wins. 📈
🟢 Green Flags in Life
• You’re curious instead of cynical. Curiosity creates opportunity. 🔍
• You commit to habits you don’t always feel like doing. Motion builds identity. 🔁
• You surround yourself with life-giving people. “Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.” 🤝
• You take responsibility when things go wrong. Ownership is a green flag for growth. 🧭
🍀 Green Flags in Leadership
• You give credit away easily. Teams follow leaders who don’t hoard the spotlight. 🙌
• You choose transparency over protection. People grow with truth. 🪟
• You build systems instead of saviors. Mature organizations run on clarity. 🧱
🌱 What I’m Learning
A life built on green flags is a life marked by peace.
Not perfection.
Not certainty.
But peace. 🕊️
Focus on what’s good, what’s working, what’s life-giving… and you start creating more of it.
It’s the difference between surviving… and truly living well. 💚🏳️🍀⛳🟢
