🐾💰 FUN FRIDAY: INTRODUCING THE PANTHER BRANCH OF CITIZENS STATE BANK! 💰🐾

Tomorrow, Leigh Community School is rolling out something exciting for Fun Friday — the Panther Branch of Citizens State Bank! 🏦🐾

Tomorrow is our introduction to the program, where students will learn all about the Panther Branch, saving money, and what it means to become a savvy saver.

📅 Our first official day of business and student deposits will be Thursday, September 17, 2026!

And there's even more excitement… 👕🐾

🎉 EVERY STUDENT WHO MAKES A DEPOSIT WILL RECEIVE A CITIZENS STATE BANK PANTHER T-SHIRT! 🎉

Plus, on your student's very first deposit, Citizens State Bank will deposit an additional $5 into their account — no matter when that first deposit is made! 💵

The Panther Branch is a unique, in-school savings program that is only active at Leigh Community Schools. With parent/guardian permission, students can open a non-interest-bearing savings account and begin saving toward short- and long-term goals.

✨ A few important things to know:

There is NO minimum deposit! Any amount can be deposited. Every little bit is a step toward becoming a savvy saver!

🏦 All money deposited will be held under one central umbrella account with Citizens State Bank.

🔐 Each child's deposit information will be maintained separately and will remain confidential.

🐾 Student accounts are active only at the Panther Branch.

💵 Withdrawals will be allowed when a student leaves the school or graduates from 6th grade. At that time, a check will be issued for the balance in the student's account.

🧾 Students will receive a copy of each deposit slip to take home.

📅 After opening day, the Panther Branch will be open for student deposits on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 7:45–8:15 a.m. during the academic year.

We are excited to partner with Citizens State Bank to give our students real-world experience with saving, financial institutions, and setting goals — while helping them develop a lifelong habit of saving at an early age. 💰📚

Yesterday was a warm one, so we were extra happy to be handing out water and popsicles at the Wisner-Pilger Cross Country Invitational at the Wisner River Park. To all runners, coaches, student managers and other staff, WELL DONE!
