It has been brought to our attention that cardholders at another Credit Union have received fraudulent text messages claiming to be from Enfact. The messages reference debit card transactions at some well-known retailers and instruct the recipient to call an 800 number to verify the activity.
When cardholders call the number, they are asked to provide their FULL card number and account information. They are then told that their online banking has been compromised.
After obtaining the card details, the fraudsters attempt to add the card to a Google Pay wallet and subsequently request the member’s online banking credentials.

📢Helpful information to keep your card and accounts safe📢

⚠️⚠️Do not respond to or click links in unsolicited text messages or emails.
✅✅A legitimate text from Fraud Risk for an Enfact (suspected fraud activity report) does NOT have a link to click and is sent from a 5 digit phone number.

⚠️⚠️Do not provide card or online banking credentials to unknown callers.
✅✅A legitimate Fraud Risk Analyst will not ask for your card information.
✅✅The Fraud Risk Analyst will NOT ask for online banking credentials. They have no access to our online banking program.

⚠️⚠️Do not provide them with an authorization code that is sent to you by text or email. If you do, you are authorizing the fraudster to attach your card to their Google Pay or Apple Pay wallet.
✅✅The Fraud Risk Analyst that contact our cardholders for an Enfact do NOT send authorization codes.

📞📞Contact us directly using a verified phone number if you are unsure about a fraud alert or suspicious communication before taking any action.
