Solaris Financial Group IS NOT your average mortgage company.

True story:
Back inSeptember a husband and wife applied for a mortgage loan and turns out neither had any credit scores reporting. Neither Equifax, Transunion or Experian returned any scores.I've been in this business a long time and I can tell you that most mortgage companies would just write these folks off with a "sorry we can't help. Go open a credit card and get back to us."

Well, building credit from scratch is not that simple and it requires a strategy. There's a mix of credit types, there's credit seasoning periods and other factors that need to be present before the bureaus start populating credit scores for you. Most mortgage companies have no interest in being a credit coach or a credit counselor. Why? Because it takes time without any guarantee of a payday.
