With the threat of severe winter weather in NC, here is an insurance reminder: If damage happens (fallen trees on your roof, burst pipes flooding your home, or vehicle issues from ice), document everything with photos right away, and call your insurer ASAP. Most standard policies cover sudden ice/snow damage, but it’s smart to review your coverage now—especially flood exclusions if melting causes issues.
