People often (wrongly) believe income protection insurance would be paid out if the person was unable to work due to losing their job for any reason.

Long Term Disability insurance protects income if you can’t work…everyone has it during working years while many don’t even know what their employer provides.

Long Term Care insurance protects assets if you need care in your home, in the community, or in facilities. Did you know that health insurance or Medicare doesn’t pay more than 20 days, if at all, for long term care? We think the overall lack of education is why most still don’t have LTC Insurance. Our goal for 2022 to is help bring LTC Insurance to the forefront…more to come!

When I began my insurance career in 1996, Long Term Care Insurance was my entire focus. Over the years I have transitioned more into the disability and life insurance side but have never ever left my LTC planning roots. In recent months, I have really started to re-focus on the current LTC products available for individual and business clients and I am urging sole proprietors and other business owners to review the tax deductibility of traditional Long Term Care Insurance premiums.
