Thanks to my wonderful wife for helping me take a few days to unwind. We went to Columbia, SC Thurs to see my favorite Christian band, Casting Crowns! Was an awesome show. Then headed to the Lexington BBQ festival Saturday, then date night with my wife. We went to dinner and then watched The Little Shop of Horrors at The Little Theatre (an amazing show btw). For me it’s hard to unwind sometimes and these past few days certainly helped!

Blessings comes in many forms....

Went to lunch and it was packed, so I sat with an elderly lady in her 90's, then another lady in her 70's joined us. We just chatted about life, how it was growing up compared to now, just life in general. One of the ladies lived where she had some flood damage and was visiting the area with a friend. We talked about how people in general were always on their phones and didn't talk to others like we were as much anymore (so true!). When we got up to leave, one of them looked at me and said that our lunch together was an inspiration...made my heart melt!

Moral of the story... if we don't take time to communicate with others (especially people older than us who we can all learn things from), we could miss out on a special blessing... so glad I did!

Today I got to meet & listen to one of the most inspirational speakers I’ve ever met at the annual IIANC conference. SSG Travis Mills is a quadruple amputee and to listen to how he views life and all that he’s accomplished is amazing!

Thank you Sir for your service and all that you do! Look him up and be prepared to be inspired.
