Most people think the biggest risk at a pool party is the pool itself.

Honestly?

It's usually everything happening around it.

Kids running across wet concrete.
Backyard games getting a little too competitive.
Someone trying a trick they definitely shouldn't be trying.

Summer gatherings are supposed to be fun. That's the whole point.

But this is something I talk about with families around Winston-Salem all the time: sometimes the moments we don't think twice about are the ones that create the biggest headaches later.

Not because anyone planned for it.
Not because anyone expected it.

Just because real life has a way of showing up uninvited.

If you're hosting friends and family this summer, it might be worth having a conversation about what your coverage actually looks like before the backyard fills up.

I'm happy to walk through it with you.

Give my office a call and let's take a look at what you've got.

You can always tell a North Carolina summer storm is coming.

Not because of the weather app.

Not because of the radar.

But because suddenly the entire neighborhood is outside trying to beat the rain. ๐Ÿ˜…

Patio furniture gets moved.

Umbrellas disappear.

Grills get covered.

And somebody is sprinting across the yard trying to rescue a chair cushion before the first big gust of wind hits.

If you live around Winston-Salem, Clemmons, or Kernersville, you've probably done it yourself.

The funny thing is that most of us know exactly what to do when the storm is coming.

What catches people off guard is what gets left behind after it passes.

A tree limb.

A damaged fence.

Patio furniture that decided to visit the neighbor's yard.

This is something that comes up a lot after summer storms around the Triad.

Most people don't realize where things can go wrong until they're already dealing with the cleanup.

If you have questions about what your coverage actually includes before storm season gets rolling, give my office a call.

I'm always happy to walk through it with you.

โ›ˆ๏ธ What's the first thing you grab when a North Carolina summer storm starts rolling in?

Nobody enjoys summer more than the family dog. ๐Ÿพโ˜€๏ธ

The kids see a sprinkler and think it's fun.

The dog sees a sprinkler and treats it like the greatest day of the year.

Five minutes later:

Mud everywhere.

Wet paw prints on the patio.

A dog that couldn't possibly be happier.

And at least one parent wondering how bath time became part of today's plans. ๐Ÿ˜…

Honestly, some of the best summer memories are the messy ones.

The backyard laughter.

The muddy paws.

The moments that don't go according to plan.

Because years from now, nobody is going to remember the clean dog.

They're going to remember the happy one.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Be honest: does your dog run *toward* the sprinkler or *away from* it?

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Happy 4th of July! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Thereโ€™s something special about this time of year in the Triad.

The backyard cookouts.
The fireworks after sunset.
The American flags waving from front porches.
The time spent with family, friends, and neighbors.

Today, as we celebrate our nationโ€™s 250th year, Iโ€™m grateful for the community we call home and the people who make it such a great place to live.

Whether you're spending the day at the lake, around the grill, or watching fireworks with family, I hope your holiday is filled with laughter, good memories, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Wishing you a safe, happy, and memorable Independence Day! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽ†

At some point during every Fourth of July cookout, the neighborhood starts to fill up.

Cars line the street.

Guests keep arriving.

Kids are everywhere.

And before long, bikes, scooters, footballs, and lawn games start appearing in places nobody planned for. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

If you've hosted a summer gathering before, you've probably seen it.

A vehicle pulls in.

A bike gets moved.

Someone says, "Watch out for that."

And everybody assumes it'll be fine.

Most of the time, it is.

But this is something I talk about with families around Winston-Salem, Clemmons, and Kernersville all the time:

The unexpected situations are usually the ones nobody was worried about five minutes earlier.

Not because anyone was careless.

Not because anyone meant for something to happen.

Just because a busy holiday weekend can get a little chaotic.

That's why understanding your coverage before the driveway fills up and the kids head outside matters more than most people realize.

If you have questions about how situations like these could affect you, give my office a call.

I'm happy to walk through it with you and help you understand what you've got.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Parents: what's the one thing your kids always leave in the driveway, yard, or street during a cookout?

At some point during every Fourth of July cookout, it happens.

The driveway fills up.

The curb fills up.

The obvious parking spots disappear.

And then somebody decides they can squeeze in just a little closer than they probably should. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿš—

If you've ever hosted a neighborhood cookout around Winston-Salem, Clemmons, or Kernersville, you've seen it.

Friends arriving.
Kids running around.
The grill working overtime.
People trying to find a place to park before the burgers are gone.

It's all part of a great summer gathering.

But this is something a lot of people don't think about until after the fact:

What happens when someone bumps another vehicle?

What happens when a crowded street, a tight parking spot, and a moment of distraction all come together at the wrong time?

Nobody expects it.

Nobody plans for it.

But it's exactly the kind of real-life situation that can turn a great day into an unexpected headache.

Most people don't realize how important it is to understand what their coverage actually does before something happensโ€”not after.

If you're hosting friends and family this Fourth of July and you've got questions about your coverage, give my office a call.

I'm happy to walk through it with you and help you understand what you've got.

At some point during every Fourth of July cookout, the driveway fills up.

Then the curb fills up.

Then somebody looks at the yard and says...

"Yeah, that'll work."

Before long, cars are parked everywhere, kids are running around, the grill is going, and the party is in full swing. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

And honestly, that's part of what makes summer gatherings so much fun.

But this is something a lot of people don't think about:

What happens if someone backs into another vehicle?

What if a child darts behind a parked car?

What if that "close enough" parking job turns into an unexpected problem?

Nobody plans for those situations.

But they happen more often than people realize.

This is where understanding your coverage before the celebration starts can make a big difference.

If you're hosting friends and family this Fourth of July, and you're not completely sure how situations like these could affect you, give my office a call.

Let's take a look at what you've got.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ What's the most creative parking spot you've seen at a backyard cookout?

Every neighborhood has one co****le story.

You know the one.

The throw looked perfect when it left their hand.

Everybody thought it was headed straight for the board.

And then...

It wasn't. ๐Ÿ˜…

Suddenly people are ducking.

Someone's yelling.

A drink gets spilled.

And one person earns a nickname they'll be hearing for the next five years.

The funny thing is that most unexpected accidents don't happen during the big moments.

They happen during backyard cookouts, neighborhood gatherings, and ordinary weekends with friends and family.

Not because anyone was being reckless.

Just because life has a way of getting interesting when everyone is having a good time.

That's something I talk about with families around Winston-Salem, Clemmons, and Kernersville all the time.

Most people don't realize how many everyday situations can create unexpected headaches later.

If you've ever wondered what your coverage actually does in situations like these, give my office a call.

I'm happy to walk through it with you.

Nobody plans to back into the mailbox.

Yet somehow it happens every summer. ๐Ÿ˜…

Maybe it's after the cookout.

Maybe everyone's loading up to head home.

Maybe the driver is trying to wave goodbye while backing out of the driveway.

And somehow...

*crunch.*

Now the mailbox is leaning sideways, somebody's embarrassed, and what started as a great summer gathering suddenly got a little more complicated.

The funny thing is, most unexpected accidents don't happen because people are careless.

They happen because life is busy.

People are distracted.

Kids are playing.

Friends are talking.

And normal days don't always stay normal.

This is something I see all the time around Winston-Salem, Clemmons, and Kernersville.

Not huge disasters.

Just everyday situations that nobody saw coming.

That's why it's important to understand what your coverage actually does before you need itโ€”not after.

If you've got questions about your coverage, give my office a call.

I'm always happy to walk through it with you and help make sure you understand what you've got.

One minute everyone is sitting by the pool enjoying the sunshine.

The next minute it's splash contests, running races around the deck, "watch this!" moments, and enough energy to power the whole neighborhood.

And honestly? That's what makes summer fun.

But something I see pretty often is that people don't realize how quickly a normal backyard gathering can turn into a situation nobody expected.

Not because anyone did anything wrong.

Just because life happens.

This is where things can go wrongโ€”and it's the part nobody really talks about when they're planning the food, filling up the cooler, and inviting friends over.

If you've ever wondered how situations like that could affect your coverage, I'm happy to walk through it with you.

Give my office a call, and let's take a look at what you've got.

โ˜€๏ธ Enjoy the pool party. Just don't be surprised when the first kid yells, "WATCH THIS!" ๐Ÿ˜„
