We launched Triad Leadership Connections in July with one clear purpose — to build a networking group that makes an impact beyond just business.

What sets TLC apart is that we use our membership dues to give directly back to local charities throughout the year. So not only are we building relationships, supporting one another, and growing our businesses, we’re also making a difference right here in our own community!

It’s been so rewarding to see the vision we had back in July come to life, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support TLC Gives Back: Paint the Triad Pink at Wh***ey, Taps and Tails Saloon last night.

Because of your generosity, we raised more than $4,000 for Pretty In Pink Foundation, helping uninsured and underinsured women across North Carolina access the breast cancer treatment they need.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended, donated, bid in the silent auction, volunteered, shared the event, and helped make the evening such a success. This is what community looks like.

You can always tell a North Carolina summer storm is coming.

Not because of the weather app.

Not because of the radar.

But because suddenly the entire neighborhood is outside trying to beat the rain. 😅

Patio furniture gets moved.

Umbrellas disappear.

Grills get covered.

And somebody is sprinting across the yard trying to rescue a chair cushion before the first big gust of wind hits.

The funny thing is that most of us know exactly what to do when the storm is coming.

What catches people off guard is what gets left behind after it passes.

A tree limb.

A damaged fence.

Patio furniture that decided to visit the neighbor's yard.

This is something that comes up a lot after summer storms around the Triad.

Most people don't realize where things can go wrong until they're already dealing with the cleanup.

Nobody enjoys summer more than the family dog. 🐾☀️

The kids see a sprinkler and think it's fun.

The dog sees a sprinkler and treats it like the greatest day of the year.

Five minutes later:

Mud everywhere.

Wet paw prints on the patio.

A dog that couldn't possibly be happier.

And at least one parent wondering how bath time became part of today's plans. 😅

Honestly, some of the best summer memories are the messy ones.

The backyard laughter.

The muddy paws.

The moments that don't go according to plan.

Because years from now, nobody is going to remember the clean dog.

They're going to remember the happy one.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸

There’s something special about this time of year in the Triad.

The backyard cookouts.
The fireworks after sunset.
The American flags waving from front porches.
The time spent with family, friends, and neighbors.

Today, as we celebrate our nation’s 250th year, I’m grateful for the community we call home and the people who make it such a great place to live.

Whether you're spending the day at the lake, around the grill, or watching fireworks with family, I hope your holiday is filled with laughter, good memories, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

At some point during every Fourth of July cookout, the neighborhood starts to fill up.

Cars line the street.

Guests keep arriving.

Kids are everywhere.

And before long, bikes, scooters, footballs, and lawn games start appearing in places nobody planned for. 🇺🇸
