Franklin State Bank was privileged to sponsor the John L. Brown, Sr. Music Scholarship concert this past weekend. Pictured are Brad Chapman and John Brown, Jr. presenting Charlie Maughon with a check for $3,500.00 to support his ongoing music education at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. It was an exceptional evening of music that truly highlighted the talent our area possesses.

Big Buck Contest Giveaway 🦌🎉

Franklin State Bank is excited to announce our Second Annual Big Buck Contest. Everyone who likes, shares, and tags (3) friends in the comments of this original post will be entered to win our initial drawing held on September 25th, prize valued at $1,000.

For an additional entry, invite your friends to "LIKE" our page.

The Big Buck Contest will run from October 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027. Below are the details, prizes, and guidelines for buck entries:

1. Scoring will consist of total inches of antler and inside spread. Repaired beams or antler points cannot be measured.
2. Buck must be harvested within 100 mile radius of FSB, 802 Prairie Street, Winnsboro, LA.
3. Rifle division will include all primitive fi****ms.
4. Prizes will be $500 for kids’ and women’s divisions and $1000 in overall archery and $1000 in overall rifle.
5. ALL entries will be eligible to win our final hunting prize package drawn after our contest ends.
6. Each contestant can enter one buck per division.
7. All entries must be harvested legally and in accordance with state game laws.
8. No mounted deer are eligible.
9. NO Game Proof Fences; only fair chase entries allowed.
10. FSB will not participate in a velvet season.
11. All scores by Franklin State Bank are final.

A recent scam phone call is circulating our area. We want to remind customers that no bank employee will proactively reach out and ask for your personal information (PIN - Social - Fraud Case #). If you receive a call from someone stating they are a Franklin State Bank employee and want to verify personal details, please hang up and call us 318-435-3711. Our fraud representatives may call or send a text, but they will only require a YES or NO answer to confirm fraudulent charges. If someone asks for information other than a YES or NO relating to fraud, please end the call and reach out to us directly.
