Las Vegas, here we come!

There’s something exciting about seeing that truck back up to our doors, ready to be loaded with Proto-1 machines and equipment for FABTECH!

We’re packing up and heading to Las Vegas for three days of showcasing what we do best which includes our new E6-RFM!
We can’t wait to reconnect with our amazing customers, meet new faces, and introduce our machines to those who haven’t had the pleasure of owning a Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C. machine… YET!

The machines are getting loaded, the excitement is building, and Vegas is calling!

Meet the next generation of RFM technology: ⚡ 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐅𝐌-𝗘𝟲 ⚡

For years, our RFM machines have helped manufacturers form tube ends accurately and efficiently. But manufacturing doesn’t stand still, and neither should the equipment behind it.

“The RFM-E6 was designed to take the RFM platform to the next level. By going all-electric and making more of the machine programmable, we’re giving customers greater control and flexibility in how they form their parts.”

The new RFM-E6 brings some major advancements to the RFM family:
• All-electric operation : no air or hydraulic hoses
• Increased forming force and stroke
• Programmable clamp positions to help reduce cycle time
• Programmable drawbar position, force and speed
• Flood and thru-tool forming fluid capabilities
• Ability to form approximately ¼" closer to tube bends
• Improved guarding, spindle lock and operator functionality

This isn’t simply a new look for the RFM. It’s the evolution of a machine that has been serving the tube-forming industry for years, reimagined around greater control, capability and efficiency.

When our new CNC machine first arrived at Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C., our team knew it had a lot of potential, but we also knew we had a lot to learn.

Week by week, our team has continued to discover new ways to maximize what this machine can do. More precision. Faster production. Better efficiency.

Now, one of our favorite part of our weekly production meeting is hearing, “Look what else we figured out!”

And we’re just getting started...

Big goals call for big celebrations!

The Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C. Team has been absolutely crushing it this past quarter.

To celebrate all the hard work, long hours, and amazing teamwork, we treated the crew to an awesome team meal.

Every single department stepped up, shifted priorities, and leveled up to make these big goals a reality. We are incredibly proud of what we’ve built, excited for the rest of 2026, and already prepping for a strong start to 2027.

Welcome Haley to the Proto-1 Team!

Haley has jumped right in and is already making an impact! She brings a great attitude and takes pride not only in getting the job done, but in doing it well.

As Haley put it, “Not only do I want to do a good job, but I want it to look well done too.”

That kind of attention to detail fits right in here at Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C.!

Outside of work, Haley enjoys spending time with her husband and their 1½-year-old daughter, along with getting outside for walks with their Great Dane.

We’re excited to have Haley on the team and look forward to watching her continue to learn and grow with Proto-1.

Q3 has brought some incredible opportunities for growth at Proto-1, including the addition of some new equipment!

Some additions are bigger than others… and this one is BIG.

We can handle a lot here at Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C., but we also know when it’s time to call in the experts. We brought in professional riggers to help move this massive new CNC machine into our facility, and there was definitely a buzz in the air as our team watched it make its way into its new home!

Now the real fun begins. Our technician has been diving into training, learning the machine, and getting familiar with everything it can do.

Investing in new equipment is about more than adding another machine to our floor. It’s about continuing to grow our capabilities, improve our operations, and better meet the evolving needs of our customers.

We’re excited to put this CNC to work and see what new opportunities it brings to Proto-1!

New equipment in the QC Lab!

It’s always exciting when we get to invest in equipment that helps us work better and serve our customers even more effectively.
Our Quality Manager, Jason, is particularly excited about our new optical comparator because it “arms us with the tools to efficiently and effectively meet our customers’ expectations.”

At Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C., we recognize that the industries we serve are constantly improving and leveling up, and we want to level up right alongside them.

This new comparator is another tool that helps us continue being a strong partner to our customers through quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

MACHINE SPOTLIGHT ➡️ IO-6.0

The IO-6.0 is one of Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C.’s most capable solutions for inside/outside segmented tube resizing.

It’s a great fit for applications such as Data Center tubing and bent tubes with short tangent elbows, where getting a consistent, accurate resize can be challenging.

Where the IO-6.0 stands out is the quality of the resize. Our segmented forming process allows us to achieve a better, more controlled tube resize than many traditional resizing methods.
