Nothing says, “We’re going to miss you,” quite like Doritos, smoked ham, and a room full of stories.

This week, the Proto-1 team gathered to celebrate Tim’s retirement and recognize the impact he’s had over the past 12 years.

We enjoyed lunch together, shared memories, and heard about Tim’s plans for retirement…fishing, gardening, hunting, and all the other activities that somehow become much more appealing when there’s no work schedule attached to them.

Tim’s knowledge, leadership, problem-solving skills, and sense of humor have been a tremendous asset to Proto-1. While we’re excited for him as he begins this next chapter, we know his presence will be missed by everyone connected to Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C..

Congratulations, Tim. Thank you for 12 years of dedication, hard work, and plenty of laughs along the way. We wish you all the best in retirement and hope your days are filled with great catches, successful harvests, and absolutely no Monday morning meetings.

At Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C., we hold monthly meetings to discuss our business and operations, making sure our teams stay aligned and moving forward together. We love kicking these off by celebrating team work anniversaries.

This month, we celebrated:
• Kelsy – 1 year
• Dan – 15 years
• Kasey – 20 years
We also managed to catch our President jumping in the photo… guess leadership wanted to be part of the Cool Kids Club this month. 😄

On Memorial Day, we will pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings, and participating in parades. Proto-1 will be closed on Memorial day to allow our employees this time for remembrance and to spend time with their loved ones. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.

After 14 incredible years, we are bidding a bittersweet farewell to our Electrical Engineering Manager, Tim, as he announces his retirement.

While we’re excited for Tim to spend more time with his family and enjoy the hobbies he loves, it’s hard to imagine Proto-1 without him. His determination, leadership, knowledge, and drive have helped advance Proto-1 Manufacturing, L.L.C. in so many ways, and we are incredibly grateful for the impact he’s made on our team and customers.

Forming a deep groove in large diameter tubing doesn't have to be a headache!

Check out the RFM-10 in action! Our expert Assembly Tech Gary was recently on-site helping a customer crush their production goals with deep groove work.

Did you know Proto-1 raises the bar for groove work? Our enclosed tooling moves around the tube while keeping the tube stationary during the end forming process.

Why does this matter? Because it creates a safer process, improves consistency, and gives operators better control during production.

Think outside the tube.......literally!

Our RFM-6 takes a different approach to cut-off. Instead of cutting from the outside-in like traditional methods, our rotary trim tooling cuts from the inside-out.

Why? A cleaner, more controlled cut with minimal burrs - often eliminating the need for secondary deburring altogether.

The RFM-6 sets the standard:
