There’s a bill in the Georgia legislature (HB 1117) addressing insurance “steering.” That’s when an insurance company tries to direct or pressure a homeowner to use their preferred contractor or repair network after a loss. (HERE IS THE ISSUE THAT PREFFERED WILL BE PRIVATE EQUITY OWNED) who will be a share holder ? You guessed it . Statefarm , Allstate and more!

Let me say this clearly:

You should choose who works on your home.
Not your insurance company “to fill their pockets!”
They ask to buy our business 3x a day to control the complete market . Just like black rock buying homes .

The bill aims to make it clear that:
• Insurers cannot require you to use a specific contractor
• They must disclose if they have a financial interest in who they recommend
• They cannot imply your claim won’t be paid if you choose someone else

This isn’t anti-insurance.
This is pro-consumer choice.
Pro-small business.
Pro-free market.

When the company paying the claim also influences who does the work, that’s not competition that’s control!
