State Farm announced it will pay a record $5 billion dividend to its auto insurance policyholders, the largest payout in its 103-year history, citing strong underwriting results and improved industry conditions as accident rates declined in 2025. Customers are expected to receive about $100 on average, with payments varying by state and premium size, and the company also reported cutting rates by roughly 10% across 40 states.

Say Whaaaaaat? Yes, you heard that right! So cool that we can give money back to our customers by using dividends. It’s because we are a Mutual Insurance Company. Very different than a stock Insurance Company that has to grow profits for its shareholders. Plus we just had Mutual auto rate reductions that anyone can apply for. Winner-Winner chicken dinner!
