It’s property tax time in Oregon!! You should be receiving your property tax statement in the mail any day and the color will tell you what to do. If it’s green, you pay… if it’s yellow your loan servicer will be paying on your behalf from your escrow account. You’ll also need this document for your taxes… And if you’re not a homeowner yet and want to be, let’s make it happen!!

1099 changes the game. 💜

Yesterday, we brought Robin Jacobson with Edward Jones and Joseph and William with Witzig CPA together with our team for a class focused on something I believe every loan officer should understand: how to make the most of being a 1099 professional.

For many LOs coming from companies that require W-2 employment, the move to 1099 opens up an entirely different world of opportunity...but only if you know how to use it. We talked tax strategy, business deductions, investing, retirement planning, and building long-term wealth around the income we're already working so hard to earn.

This is what I want our culture to be about. Not just helping our people close more loans and make more money, but giving them the education, resources, and experts to help them keep more, invest smarter, and build real wealth.

We’re doing things differently over here and we’re just getting started. 🚀
