We weren’t born here, but after living here for 20 years, we love it here. I wasn’t trying to “single out” a specific “big box” developer in this clip…..but you all know what I meant….and to me, they’re all the same. Buying up HUGE swaths of land, rezoning for maximum density (with apparent ease), then STRIP MINING the land to build cookie cutters. We try to be the opposite by preserving the mature landscape and charm of our community.

We know and have used countless fabulous real estate agents ovah the years. We’ve also had to deal with some not-so-fabulous ones. The not-so-fabulous ones can make the transaction process a nightmare. Please do your homework when choosing one, either buying or selling. A good one is worth every penny of commission…..and when we’re selling, we’re the ones paying the commission anyway. Happy to pay it when we all work as a team.

Shout out to my buddies at Marine Max Wrightsville Beach! That career didn’t last long for me :) but it launched Steve Dutton. We’ve been here for 20 years now. We beat the “rush”. I’m told the term “Damn Yankee” has no statute of limitations….but whatever.
